Introducing the New Cavan Lawn Tennis Club
Having endured winters of limited play / cancelled coaching due to courts that would flood easily and be unplayable below 4deg, the Club got approval @ our AGM to transform the clubhouse area and the 3 courts in front of it. Entirely funded by the Membership, the project commenced the end of Feb and involved the following works:-Removing the earth banks and replacing with a retaining wall and safety fence to give more space. Each court is now 2M wider than before. Resurfacing the courts with a macadam underlay to provide a smooth even playing surface where we have now laid our new surface, a medium paced artificial grass.A big thank you to our main contractors McCabe Masonry and Casey Courts for all their amazing work under difficult circumstances.We hope to be fully finished shortly and then will be in a position to welcome new
